Music Industry is an evolving field that encompasses, among other things, music performance and publishing, radio and television broadcasting, Internet music, artist management, recording, instrument manufacture and distribution, songwriting, advertising, the principles of business, and the management of arts organizations.

For a list of books, do a SUBJECT search in our OSU Libraries Catalog using Music -- Vocational guidance or Music trade -- Vocational guidance as your search term. Other possible subject search terms: Sound recording industry -- Vocational guidance and Popular music -- Writing and publishing. Materials on each of the various categories can be found by searching by subject terms or keywords, for example, Performing arts -- Law and legislation or Radio broadcasting or Radio broadcasting -- bibliography.
