How many U.S. government mobile apps are there?  We've lost count!  Browse them all at the USA.gov mobile gallery. There you will find mobile web sites and apps from:

• consumer health news and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control
• presidential documents, speeches, declarations, nominations, and actions from the White House
• the "Plum Book" listing open political and policy positions from the Government Printing Office
• "My TSA" provides updated travel and airport security information from the Transportation Security Administration
• "America's Economy" featuring  real-time updates on key economic indicators from the Bureau of the Census
• fair market rents for more than 500 metropolitan areas from the Department of Housing and Urban Development
• labor statistics on unemployment, consumer price index, producer price index, and more from the Department of Labor

Science.gov is a gateway to federal government information.  It searches over 55 databases and over 2,100 selected websites from 13 federal agencies, offering 200 million web pages, including research and development results. Science.gov is governed by the interagency Science.gov Alliance and powered by the Department of Energy.

The World Bank offers a number of mobile sites and apps for accessing financial and demographic data collected by that organization.

Most of the services are apps for iPhone or iPad but a few have also been created for Android systems. Some of the services that might be of interest to the University community include:

• World Bank Results at a Glance, more than 450 country profiles
• World Bank InfoFinder, consisting of reports and other general documents
• WorldBank EdStats Datafinder, key topics in education for more than 200 countries
• World Bank Finances, information about bank activities by country
• Doing Business at a Glance, examining the business climate and regulations in more than 180 economies
