A+ Research Presentation Series

Intro Making Citing Easy

A+ Research: Making Citing Easy

Citing sources is one of the most challenging tasks beginning researchers face with their research projects. Nobody likes doing it, even experienced researchers, and the consequences of messing it up are dire. But OSU Senior Yehosef Thomas takes the heat off, explaining why and how and covering both in-text citations and those at the end of your research final products.  He draws upon multiple citation styles that you could be called upon to use and shows you where to get help for all of them. Yehosef’s clear but thorough examples will make your learning faster and easier.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Explain the importance of citing sources and how to avoid plagiarizing.
  • Apply the three most commonly used citation styles.
  • Develop a basic framework for any type of source.
  • Identify where you can get citation help.
