General Database

EBSCOHost Databases is a multi-interdisciplinary suite of databases containing content from popular magazines, scholarly journals, newspapers, documents, books, reports, conference proceedings, and other digital media.

Archive Database

Adam Matthew Explorer contains primary resources on Africa and Africans in the Diaspora primary resources. Content themes include area studies, cultural studies, ethnic studies, and gender and sexuality.

Newspaper Database

ProQuest Historical Newspapers provides access to African American newspapers including the Atlanta Daily World‎, Chicago Defender‎, Cleveland Call and Post‎, Los Angeles Sentinel‎, New York Amsterdam News‎, Norfolk Journal and Guide,‎ and Pittsburgh Courier.

Digital Media Database

Alexander Street contains digital media materials including text, audio, image, and video. Search architecture allows general and advanced searching of specific subjects. This multi-layered database features custom clip making, playlist tools, and course pack compatibility.    

Research Center

Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, founded in 1905, is an archive repository for information on people of African descent worldwide. The Center preserves, collects, and provides access to materials on the global African Diasporic experience.
