African Europeans: An Untold History
"African Europeans: An Untold History" traces the history of African descendants in Europe from the Roman Empire to the present day. Professor Olivette Otele debunks the claim that Africans are new arrivals to the European continent. Her book begins by looking at early encounters between Africans and Europeans by detailing how African Warrior Queens protected Ethiopian kingdoms against the Roman Empire. "African Europeans" provides a short introduction to the complex history of African and European interactions.
