To connect to check for Ohio State access to content, you will need:

1. Register for an account and sign in.
2. Go to Account
3. Go to Settings
4. Go to Library Link Server
5. Click on Update
6. Search for Ohio State and pick the correct option
7. Apply

Google Scholar covers a wide range of topics.

Use the above link to you can make sure Google Scholar works best for you on or off campus.  In order to better use it, connect it to OSU by going to Settings > Library links (on left) and then search for Ohio State. Check the option The Ohio State University Libraries - Find It @ OSU.

Looking for a specific article?

• Use the Find It! button in our databases or use the Citation Finder to enter information about your item. 
• Use the Online Journals List to find the item by going to the specific journal and then search/browse.
• Use the Online Journals List to find the journal and then search or browse.

You'll see some important buttons while using the OSU Libraries resouces. Especially important are these 4:

Where: OSU Library Catalog.

What: Have an item sent to another location for pickup or recall an item checked out.

Where: OSU Library Catalog.

What: Check for access of an individual item via OhioLINK - such as an item checked out at OSU. Also repeats searches in the OhioLINK catalog to see additional options for your need.

Where: OhioLINK Catalog

What: Click to have an item delivered to OSU from an OhioLINK library.

Where: Library Databases

What: Check for online access to journal articles, conference papers, and more. Also gives interlibrary loan option if item is not available online.

For articles or conference papers, use Interlibrary Loan/Article Express. This should be an option when using the Find It! button when we don't have access.

For books:

• Use the OhioLINK Library Catalog to see if there is a copy at another Ohio college/university library.
