Resources to support virtual instruction and research during COVID-19

Directions

Use the following checklist when seeking a book chapter  or article you have identified in a print source

1. Check the library catalog to locate the article and book chapter including the author, publisher, book title/journal name, and page numbers.

2. Try a google search, if the article/book chapter is not available in our library catalog. Make sure to search by the article title, book chapter or book tile using quotes - (i.e. "book quotes)

Note: some results may lead you to an author's ' Research Gate and Academia.edu pages and may not be in compliance with copyright

3. Submit an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request for book chapter(s) or article for items you have been unable to find online.

Note: Copyright limits the amount of chapters that can be requested. Items that are exclusively available in print or were not previously scanned prior to COVID-19 at another institution may not be available.

STILL UNABLE TO FIND WHAT YOU NEED

  • Try contacting the author(s) of the article or book chapter directly. Contact a librarian to help you search for the email of the author or look up the author by their affiliated institutions.
  • Look for a substitute work written by the same author(s).
