Getting Started

OSU Libraries subscribes to many licensed resources related to business. This guide organizes these resources into subject areas to make them easier to find. These resources are a good place to start for many types of business research, but they are only a few of the resources to which the Libraries subscribes. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions as you begin your research.

Business News and Journal Resources

Wall Street Journal [Selected Articles in Full Text] This link opens in a new window
Contains the full-text Wall Street Journal newspaper which has extensive coverage of stock markets, finance, investments and business-oriented news. We have access to articles from 1984-current.
Business Source Complete [Selected Articles in Full Text] This link opens in a new window
A business articles database with indexing and abstracts for more than 1,400 scholarly, peer-reviewed journals from 1886-present. One suggestion for all literature searching is to play around with the Advanced Search features and keyword search in all text, title, abstract, subject terms and more.
Factiva [Selected Articles in Full Text] This link opens in a new window
A news aggregator database; one of the best places to access news stories from around the world. Content is often native language of publication. Also: Company profile pages and industry reports (see Companies/Markets dropdown in top menu bar). Company pages give you a good overview of a company + all the most recent relevant news stories in one place.

Columbus Business First
If you're looking for local business news the Libraries subscribes to a number of BizJournals which focus on a particular city, including an annual publication called Book of Lists which lists best local companies in a wide variety of categories.

A full text newswire database that incorporates business wires from all over the world.

Harvard Business Review is available via Business Source Complete. Please be aware that Harvard Business Publishing restricts access to Harvard Business Review's 500 most popular articles to "read-only". The full text of the articles can be accessed but cannot be saved, printed, or linked to from a persistent URL. Also, Harvard Business Cases are generally not included in these subscriptions.
