Citing Microforms

Citing a microform requires collecting the same identifying information used to cite a print item, such as author, title, publisher, etc.

The citation should also include additional information to aid in locating the microformcollection title and identification numbers, producer of the microform, etc.

Citations can be created using tools in the catalog record, using citation management software, or style manuals.  All citations should be checked for accuracy and completeness.

As in all citations, the intent is to allow a user to identify/locate the source material.
