Dissertations
OSU has access to many e-dissertations and theses through Proquest. (For best results, use the Advanced Search.)
OSU holds subscriptions to a very limited number of standards. In addition to ASTM Standards and AWS Standards, we also have access to some standards through IEEE Xplore and ASABE Technical Library. Furthermore, some standards can be found through the Knovel Database.
If the OSU Libraries' servers are down (depending on which servers are down), the proxy for OFF campus access might also be down.
If our off-campus proxy server is down, one option is to use a VPN client with remote desktop to access your campus computer, so that your actions will be recognized as originating from on campus.
If some of our servers are down, but our off-campus proxy server is not down and you are off campus, you should be able to access most vendor content by simply placing the following string at the beginning of the vendor’s URL:
http://proxy.lib.ohio-state.edu/login?url=http://vendor’s URL.
(Vendor URL's for commonly used resources can be viewed by hovering over the on-campus links, listed to the left.)
