 Ethnologue: Languages of the World Ethnologue is a dynamic language portal of the world's known living languages. The database provides summary information for identified languages. Entries are based upon contributions from cultural and language experts. 

African Language Materials Archive (ALMA)  The African Language Materials Archive ALMA is a collaboration of United States academic institutions  to create and disseminate indigenous African language materials. ALMA identifies, collects, and preserves African indigenous languages for current and future study. 

UNESCO Atlas of the World’s Languages in Danger  The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Atlas of the World’s Languages in Danger raises awareness about indigenous languages and the need to protect the globe’s linguistic diversity. The Atlas monitors the status of endangered languages and the trends in linguistic diversity.

 Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA) This database covers all aspects of the study of language: phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. Covered media include articles, books, dissertations, papers, and reviews.

Cambridge Histories Online This historical reference compendium provides digital access to the Cambridge Histories series. Titles include: "Cambridge History of Africa," "Cambridge History of African American Literature," "Cambridge History of African and Caribbean Literature," "Cambridge History of Latin America," and "Cambridge History of South Africa."
