Working through challenges—whether academic, personal, social, or otherwise—is one of reasons college can be such a powerful time. Navigating these challenges can be made easier with a greater understanding of yourself.

In this session you’ll do some self-discovery and reflection through surveys and then you’ll have the opportunity to hear from and practice advising other Ohio State students as they navigate common challenges in their first year such as struggling in a class or making friends.

Lastly, we’ll talk about campus information sources. There’s so much to learn about campus and how it works, and we’ll give you some ideas to get started. We’ll also share some information about University Libraries and how we can help you.

This online session will be completed at your own pace in Carmen. It will take about an hour to complete. You will be added to the Carmen course when that section opens, generally two weeks before the due date. You must complete the whole session to receive attendance credit.
