The following is a list of resources that Ohio State researchers can use to find collaborative research partners.

Vita

EngageOSU
EngageOSU is an online portal into the research portfolio of the Ohio State University. It enables users to search the entire scope of our research experts. EngageOSU provides profiles on all faculty and researchers so that industry leaders, community partners, students, and faculty can easily explore the breadth of research expertise at the university. The portal covers research in all fields – including the life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, humanities, and the liberal arts – and covers all Ohio State campuses.
Ohio Innovation Exchange
The Ohio Innovation Exchange is a new initiative developed jointly by four major Ohio universities – Case Western Reserve University, Ohio University, The Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati – with sponsorship from the Ohio Department of Higher Education and accompanied by strong industry support through the Ohio Manufacturing Institute. We are delighted to introduce this beta release that provides access to more than 8,250 faculty profiles and 200 resources from the four universities. The purpose of this beta release is to (i) highlight the work completed to date, (ii) demonstrate functionality to other Ohio-based university partners, and (iii) serve as a pre-RFP reference point for potential vendors. In subsequent releases, this innovative knowledge management framework will provide users with interactive tools to connect faculty, staff and students with industry in new information-driven ways. InCites lets you analyze institutional productivity and benchmark your output against peers worldwide.
StarMetrics
STAR METRICS® is a federal and research institution collaboration to create a repository of data and tools that will be useful to assess the impact of federal R&D investments. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF), under the auspices of Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), are leading this project.
KmData
Ohio State's expertise database OSUPro was decommissioned in February of 2012. Data from OSUPro is still available through the KmData.

Information from Research in View and is also available from the KmData service. KmData can be thought of as a one stop shop for university data for automated consumption in websites. In addition to Research in View data, it provides information from other systems such as the Office of Research, Human Resources and Student Information Systems.

There has been a recent update to KMdata, users may now 'Search by keyword' look for the field at the top right corner of the page. You can search for any keyword in this field, and it will search all categories of Research in View and return the profiles that match the keyword. You can then select the person's name and see the data from their Research in View profile that has been set to public by the user. You will also notice that once you are on the search results screen, you can select the word 'People' at the top of the screen, and the system will allow you to search for peoples' names directly.
Extreme Scale Collaboration (ExSo) Discovery Tool
Allows researchers to quickly discover relevant, institution-specific data. The goal is to build a system equipped with an intuitive interface and visualization services to provide an easy to use, extensible and integrative search tool.

STEAM Factory (Researcher Network Facilitating a Culture of Interdisciplinary Collaboration)
Deep Insights Anytime, Anywhere (DIA2)
A web-based knowledge mining and interactive visualization platform for research funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). DIA2 is a funded project of the NSF designed as a central resource for the community of researchers, educators, and learners who are transforming undergraduate education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Microsoft Academic
A new service that has been built from the ground up in partnership with the Bing team to be much more scalable, responsive, and compatible with modern web browsers. This new service puts a knowledge driven, semantic inference based search and recommendation framework front and center. In addition, a new data structure and graph engine have been developed to facilitate the real-time intent recognition and knowledge serving. One illustrating feature is semantic query suggestions that identify authors, topics, journals, conferences, etc., as you type and offer ways to refine your search based on the data in the underlying academic knowledge graph. You can also refine your results using the filters on the search results page. Since we are built on top of Bing's web crawling infrastructure, we are able to discover and index new academic papers in a more scalable manner. We now have over 150 million entities and billions of relationships in the Microsoft Academic Graph and growing!

New Online Platform Drives Innovation by Connecting Ohio’s Research Universities with Industry

The Ohio Department of Higher Education launches the Ohio Innovation Exchange

The Ohio Innovation Exchange (OIEx), launched in September 2018 by the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE), connects industry with faculty, students, equipment, and facilities available at Ohio’s research universities. OIEx consolidates these academic resources from multiple universities into a single, searchable, and easily accessible web portal at www.ohioinnovationexchange.org, allowing industry to find expertise to advance products, services, and research.

An initiative of ODHE and originally developed by four Ohio universities with industry support from the Ohio Manufacturing Institute, OIEx is now a platform providing industry in search of expertise with access to more than 13,000 faculty and 1000 resources from the following universities:
