Commemorating The Great Migration, 1916-1940

THE GREAT MIGRATION

The 2019 Black History Month theme is "Black Migrations." We celebrate the great migration of southern Blacks from the tyrannical American South to the industrialized American North.  The Great Migration of 1916-1940 is represented by the mass exodus of 3 million African Americans from the South to Northern, Midwestern, and Western States.
