Jacob Lawrence

Jacob Lawrence (1917 – 2000) photograph by Carl Van Vechten, 1941. Artist, educator, muralist, painter, and social realist. Jacob Lawrence is best known for his panel series The Migration of the Negro,1940–41, sixty panels.
