This is really overall one of the best resources to utilize as the Resource Center integrates a lot of other Columbus area resources, like meeting opportunities and presentations for variously small business and legal experts.

The Economic Development Office exists to help businesses prosper in Columbus.

"The purpose of the Ohio Patent Pro Bono Program is to match eligible inventors with volunteer patent practitioners who donate their services to help file patent applications."

EBLC students assist early-stage companies by providing legal advice under the supervision of licensed faculty. They can typically assist with: corporate questions like entity choice, entity formation, organizational documents, equity issuances, website policies, tax-exempt applications (for nonprofits), contracts, governance, etc.; and IP matters including copyright, trademark, trade secret, and IP licensing questions, but no patents.

The IPVC is an experiential learning experience for students at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. They "accept cases on a first come, first served basis for individual and small businesses located in Northeast Ohio seeking legal advice associated with intellectual property and more."
