Web of Science

Using the Web of Science platform for new and experienced searchers.

Web of Science marked list and export tools.

Marked List

You can use Web of Science's Marked List feature to select and save certain results to use during a search session.  This allows you to review your choices and decide which results to save and export or find the full text for.

Check the box next to each article to mark it, or check the box at the top of the column to mark all results.

Export

You can export records from your search results or marked list in a number of formats that will allow you to view and/or cite them later.

  • Choosing an option such as Endnote or RIS will let you export your results to a citation manager, including Zotero, Mendeley or Refworks (use the RIS format.)
  • Choosing an option such as Excel, Tab delimited file, or Fast 5000 will let you export results in a format you can use for bibliometric analysis, evidence syntheses, and other deeper analysis of the literature.
