- Grove Music Online (Oxford). Articles include biographical information, works lists (for composers), and bibliographies.
- MGG Online. Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart. (Print volumes are on the Reference shelves: Ref. ML100 B7 M8.) German-language encyclopedia of music. It offers detailed articles on every aspect of music as well as on such related areas as literature, philosophy, and the visual arts. MGG Online contains the second print edition of MGG, published from 1994 to 2008, as well as continuous updates and additions.
