A+ Research Presentation Series

Intro to How Do You Find Sources

A+ Research: How Do You Find Sources?

OSU Senior Yehosef Thomas uses a real research project as an example to demonstrate how to find sources in the OSU Libraries’ catalog and OhioLINK and on websites. Then he shows you how to evaluate those sources. Yehosef also demonstrates a new free ebook from OSU Libraries called Choosing & Using Sources. (This event will NOT connect you with a faculty member who wants to hire student researchers. Contact the Undergraduate Research Office for that.)

Learning Objectives:

  • Order books from the OSU Libraries’ catalog and OhioLink.
  • Use “Advanced Search” in Google and the OSU Libraries’ catalog.
  • Evaluate the results of your searches by considering purpose, content, currency, and coverage.
