Co-Hosting a Meeting

If you are collaborating with a course instructor, you may not be able to set up the Zoom meeting on your own. If this is the case, it is recommended that you discuss with the course instructor what your role will be, as this will determine your ability to take certain actions during the meeting.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Only the meeting host can create a poll. If you will be acting as co-host or alternative host and would like to use a poll, you will need to collaborate with the meeting host in advance to set the poll up.
  • Alternative hosts can start a meeting, but co-hosts cannot start meetings.
