Cartooning in the Arab World Today: Presentations by visiting political cartoonists from the Middle East 

Friday, October 27 – 2-5 pm 

205 Sullivant Hall 

Please join the University Libraries for a special event featuring presentations by visiting political cartoonists from the Middle East! Following the presentations, join us at the Open House in the Lucy Shelton Caswell Reading Room, 100 Sullivant Hall, where a special selection of the OSU Library distinctive Arabic cartoons and comics will be on display.   Faculty and students who have interest in graphic arts, comics, and/or cartooning will have an opportunity to interact with the cartoonists and ask questions.  Light refreshments will be available following the presentation. This event is sponsored by the OSU Libraries’ Middle East & Islamic Studies program; Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum; OSU’s Middle East Studies Center; and OSU’s Near Eastern Languages & Cultures Department, with thanks to the U.S. State Department’s International Political Cartoonist Program.
